Zachary Allen Harrison

Zachary Allen Harrison, 37, of Goshen, died Saturday December 11, 2021, at his residence in Goshen.  He was born May 18, 1984, in Elkhart to John F. and Marcy K. (McCloughan) Harrison.

     Zachary married his high school sweetheart, Ashlee R. Small on June 1, 2007, in Elkhart.  They have been together for 21 years.  Ashlee survives along with 3 children, Malakhi, Kingston, Za’Kiah Harrison all of Goshen; his parents, John F. and Marcy K. Harrison of Bristol; 1 brother, Andrew John “AJ” Harrison of Bristol and his maternal grandparents Robert and Rosemary McCloughan of Elkhart and his paternal grandmother Mary Harrison of Elkhart, many nephews, nieces, uncles, aunts and cousins.  Zachary was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Robert and Maxine Personett, his paternal grandfather Cletis Harrison and two uncles Michael McCloughan and Tom Harrison.

Zachary was a devoted father and husband. He worked hard to build his family their first home in 2011. Zachary loved and raised Pit Bulls. He owned his own kennel and with the help from the family was able to breed for many years. He enjoyed playing baseball. He was on a male league that played at Baugo LL. He loved playing catch with his children and helping them practice their skills and love for baseball. Zachary loved to be outside in the summer working in his yard and making any plant grow. He got his green thumb from his Gram Maxine. Zachary could fix almost anything and would teach himself how to do it. Zachary graduated from Memorial High School in 2002 and while in high school he was on the Dive team and went to state finals. 

  Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services and a celebration of life gathering for Zachary will be held Monday, December 27, 2021, at 3 p.m.  at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends for 2 hours prior to the service.  Pastor Dave Severance the Chaplain at Hubbard Hill Estates will preside.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
