William Ray “Bill” Edwards

April 6, 1943 – August 30, 2023

ELKHART- William Ray “Bill” Edwards, 80, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday August 30, 2023, at Greenleaf Health Campus in Elkhart.  Bill was born April 6, 1943, in Elkhart, Indiana to Fred R. & Bettie (Kleckner) Edwards.

     On July 25, 1964, he married Sherry D. Shanholt.  She preceded him in death on September 27, 2013.  Surviving are 2 daughters, Jennifer L. (Shannon) Callaway of Elkhart, Suzanne R. (Mike) Stajkowski of Noblesville, IN; 4 grandchildren, Kristine (Craig) Pussehl of Noblesville, IN, Joseph (Kylee) Stajkowski of St. John, FL, Delcina (Nathan) Beck of Sheridan, IN, Jacob Callaway of Elkhart, IN and 10 great-grandchildren.   He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Sherry.

     Bill was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church.  He enjoyed hunting, golfing, and spending time with his family and friends.  He was employed as a sales representative in the RV Industry in Elkhart for many years.

     In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and burial will be at a later date in Zion Cemetery in Bristol.
