BRISTOL, INDIANA- W. Joy Banicki, 91, of Bristol, passed away Tuesday September 27, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born September 14, 1931, in Niles, Michigan to William & Roberta (Coons) Drew.

     She married Arthur "Art” Banicki, on March 5, 1960, and he preceded her in death on June 20, 1973.  Surviving is 1 son, Larry (Delina) Enders of Elkhart, IN; 4 grandchildren, Lisa (Jeff) Badell, Melanie (Joey) Summers, Bret Enders, Blake (Lisa Richter) Enders; 6 great-grandchildren, Olivia Coulter, Katie (Ryan Rimmler) McCormick, Jillian (Scott) Brady, Jay (Bethany) Badell, Kaleb (Keira) Summers and Kara (Cody Simington) Summers.  Also surviving are 6 great great grandchildren, 1 sister, Sue Norton of Loganville, GA and a son-in-law, James Kujawski of New Carlisle, IN.  Joy was preceded in death by her parents, her daughter, Nancy Kujawski and 2 sisters, Kathy Balasa and Joann Mulkey.

     Joy retired as an accounts payable clerk for the Elkhart Community Schools.  She was a former member of St. Thomas Church in Plymouth, IN and a member of St. John of the Cross Episcopal Church in Bristol, IN.

     Funeral services for Joy will be held at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday October 5, 2022, at St. John of the Cross Episcopal Church, 601 E. Vistula Street, Bristol, IN.  Reverend Jennifer Fulton will preside. 

Friends may visit with the family for 1 hour prior to the mass.  A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Riverview Cemetery in South Bend, Indiana.

     Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.  Memorial contributions may be given to St. John of the Cross Episcopal Church
