VIVIAN B. MASON

September 10, 1942 – May 22, 2024

BRISTOL- Vivian B. Mason, 81, of Bristol, Indiana, passed away Wednesday May 22, 2024, at her home in Bristol, surrounded by her loving family.  She was born September 10, 1942, in Walkerton, Indiana to Roscoe R. & Geraldine (Hoover) Smith.

     On January 28, 1967, in Lake Odessa, Michigan she married Lavern E. Mason.  He survives along with 4 children, Lola M. (Raymond K.) Bedtelyon of Bristol, IN, Robert D. (Debra) Mason, Linda S. (David) Goff both of Elkhart, IN, Sharon L. (Kate) Grace of San Ramon, CA; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; 1 brother, Charles R. (Kim) Smith of Sarasota, FL; numerous foster children and numerous nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her father, Roscoe R. Smith, her mother Geraldine Christman, a great-granddaughter, Ashley Goff, 2 sons, Lavern Mason, Jr., and Donald Eugene Mason, 6 siblings, William Smith, Pat McClelland, Roscoe R. Smith, Gail Pariso, Keith Smith, and Darroll Smith and a granddaughter Denivse Stephens.

     Vivian worked as an office clerk for 6 years at Hart Housing in Wakarusa.  She was a member of the Bristol Missionary Church, and she enjoyed sewing, shopping, being outdoors and most of all spending time with her family.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 3-7 p.m. Tuesday May 28, 2024, at the Bristol Missionary Church, 19912 IN-120, Bristol, IN 46507.  Additional visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Wednesday May 29, 2024, at the church.  Pastor Rod Holmes will render the service and burial will follow in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart, IN.

     Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.  Memorial contributions may be given to the Bristol Missionary Church, St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital or Riley Children’s Hospital.
