Elkhart- Vera Wilkerson, 73 of Elkhart, was found dead on July 11, 2021. Vera was born March 28, 1948 to William and Valentina (Lubarsky) Allen in Caracus, Venezuela. She married Larry R. Wilkerson who passed away August 2020. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Surviving are 2 sons, Stephen R. Hibshman of Elkhart, Indiana, and William A. Hibshman of Goshen, Indiana, 5 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren. 2 sisters, Luba (David) Kelly of Baroda, Michigan, and Nancy (Ron) Gustafson of Elkhart, Indiana, 1 niece, Amy Dungey.

Also surviving are her dogs Jager and Buster.

Vera retired as a beautician. She was a member of the Jeep Club, National Boxer Society. She enjoyed gardening and tending to her house plants.

Cremation will take place and a Celebration of Life Gathering will be at a later date. Walley Mills Zimmerman has been entrusted with her care. Memorial donations may be made to 2^nd Chance Small Dog Rescue, P.O. Box 2403, Elkhart, Indiana 46515.
