Venetta E. Lowry

April 2, 1943-March 7, 2026

ELKHART-Venetta E. Lowry, 82, passed away March 7, 2026, at the Center for Hospice Care-The Esther House.  She was born April 2, 1943, in Mishawaka.

  On April 4, 1964 she married Hubert Lowry Sr.; he survives along with 2 sons, Mark Lowry, Curtis (Sharon) Lowry, 4 grandchildren, Sean, Sandy, Lisa, Amanda, numerous great-grandchildren, and a brother, George (Ellie) Higginson.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward & Virginia (Michael) Higginson, 2 sons, David Lowry, Hubert “Lee” Lowry Jr., and a brother, Paul Higginson.

  Venetta worked at Walmart for over 16 years.  She loved butterflies, playing bingo and cards in her spare time. 

  Visitation will be held from 10-12-noon Friday, March 13, 2026 at Bethel Assembly of God, 600 E. Bristol Street, Elkhart, Indiana.  The funeral service will begin at 12-noon and burial will immediately follow the service in Rice Cemetery.  Presiding will be Pastor Dave Lade.

  Memorial contributions may be given to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital or to the Shriners.
