ELKHART- Tina Lee Schoettler, 56, of Elkhart, died Thursday July 1, 2021, at her residence in Elkhart. She was born January 23, 1965, in Aberdeen, Washington to William N. and Dorothy (Heminger) Schoettler.
Surviving are 3 daughters, Katie A. (Roger) Burkhead of Elkhart, Kristi L. Porter of Wakarusa, Tiffani K. Thompson and her fiancé Bryant Henderson of Elkhart; a stepson Brandon Paulus of FL; 6 grandchildren Roger, Kylie, Ethen, Payton, Pharaoh and Cairo; 6 siblings Diane (Joseph) Werbiansky, Kathy (Jack) Trent both of Elkhart, Stacee (Mike) Hoffee of Panama, Michael (Tawny) Wagner of CA, Jason (Jodi) Schoettler and Daniel Schoettler both of WA. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews; a host of great nieces and great nephews and her stepmother Sherrie Schoettler of WA. She was preceded in death by her father William N. Schoettler, her mother Dorothy R. Manwarren, her stepfather Harold Manwarren and 2 siblings William Schoettler and Teresa Anne Schoettler.
Tina graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1983. She enjoyed painting by diamonds, reading, and she participated in the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life in Elkhart County and St. Joseph County. Tina was formerly employed by the Center for Hospice Care as a CNA.
A celebration of life open house for Tina will be held on Sunday July 25, 2021, from 2-5 p.m. at her home, 2200 Pennsylvania Ave., Elkhart, IN. Burial will be at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Osceola.
