Thomas Lamar Doty
July 9, 1968-February 8, 2021
ELKHART-Thomas Lamar Doty, 52, passed away February 8, 2021 at his home in Elkhart. He was born July 9, 1968 in Stuggart, Germany.
As a child he enjoyed playing softball, army, and Atari. He was a skilled hunter and loved the outdoors. Thomas had many pets even a tarantula at one time. He graduated from Penn High School in 1986 and also went on many vacations with his dad and stepmom.
He loved all four of his grandparents who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his only sibling, Jeremy James Doty, who died of cancer at the age of 18 and his stepmom, Carol Doty, who died last year.
Surviving are 2 children, Dominic Gilbert of Mishawaka, Nicole Doty of Elkhart, 2 grandchildren, Dylan Buckley of Topeka, IN, Paisley Rink of Elkhart, his mother, Pam (Dave) Freed of Mishawaka and his father, Dennis Doty of Cullman, Alabama.
There will be no services and cremation will take place.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Pet refuge.
