Thomas J. Cawley, 77, of Elkhart, Indiana passed away suddenly at Goshen Hospital on Friday, May 24, 2024.  He was born on July 31, 1946, to the late John and Ida (Zalinsky) Cawley in Chicago, Illinois.  He married Cheryl Longacre on August 19, 1970, who preceded him in death on December 12, 2011.  Also preceding in him death was his younger brother William Cawley.

Thomas is survived by his loving family including his three children John Cawley, Christina Cawley, and Katherine (Cawley) Pesta; his five grandchildren Skylar McKesson, Andrew McKesson, Regan Perkey, Valorie Pesta, and Victoria Pesta; and his youngest brother Richard Cawley.

His long life included serving as a Military Policeman in South Korea during the Vietnam War.  He was a well-respected soccer referee for over a decade.  For most of his career, he was employed as a tool and die maker at NIBCO.

Throughout his life his joy and happiness touched the lives of all those around him.  He will forever be in our hearts.  We love you and miss you.

Per his wishes cremation will take place and inurnment will be held Thursday, June 6, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Prairie Street Cemetery.
