TERRY L. STUTZMAN

July 3, 1940 – March 28, 2025

BRISTOL, IN- Terry L. Stutzman, 84, of Bristol, Indiana, passed away Friday March 28, 2025, at his residence in Bristol.  He was born July 3, 1940, in Ligonier, Indiana to John & Frances (Renner) Stutzman.

     On June 14, 1968, in Elkhart, Indiana he married Ethel M. Arledge.  She survives along with 3 children, Todd L. Stutzman of Granger, IN, Scott M. (Mary) Stutzman of Elkhart, IN, Tina M. Hicks of Greenwood, IN; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 sister, Dixie Swinehart of Elkhart, IN and numerous family members and friends.  Also surviving is his beloved furry friend Charlie who Terry dearly loved.  Terry was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, TJ Stutzman, a granddaughter, Ella Magyar and a brother, Lanny J. Stutzman.

     Terry graduated in 1958 from Concord High School.  He served in the US Army and was a Vietnam Veteran.  Terry was a member of the NSRA, the Good Guys Car Club, the DAV, the American Legion and the Quarter Century Club at Miles.  He loved working on cars and over the years collected many cars and hot rods.   Terry enjoyed watching nascar and wrestling on TV.  He also loved being with his car friends and his family.

     Terry retired in 2002 from Miles (Now Bayer) where he worked in maintenance for 42 years.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 3-7 p.m. Thursday April 3, 2025, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Additional visitation will be held for 1 hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. service on Friday April 4, 2025, at the funeral home.  The family has requested that you dress casual (blue jeans and T-shirts) for the visitation and services and if you have a hot rod or classic car, please feel free to bring it to the visitation, and service in memory of Terry.  Burial with full military honors will follow the service in Rice Cemetery.

     The family would like to extend a special THANK YOU to the doctors and nurses at the Elkhart Clinic, Elkhart Oncology and the Mishawaka Veterans Clinic for the EXCELLENT care they gave to Terry.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society and the Wounded Warrior Program.
