June 10, 1964 - January 19, 2025
ELKHART-Steven “Steve” E. Swoape Jr., 60, passed away peacefully at his home in Elkhart. He was born on June 10, 1964, in Elkhart.
Surviving is his wife Valena “Kim” Swoape, his mother, Celaine Heflin, 4 children, Steven (Alisha) Heflin, Nicole (Charles) Peterson, Jon Miller, and Cynthia Miller. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 5 siblings, Mark (Amy) Swoape, Scott (Arlene) Heflin, Tim (Teresa) Swoape, Sheilia (Chad) Howard, Louanne (Darren) Hunt, and numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Heflin and a grandson.
Steve was a true thrill seeker that enjoyed riding dirt bikes, 4-wheelers, being outdoors and was an avid 49ers fan.
Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 6 p.m. funeral service Friday, January 24, 2025 at Walley-Mils-Zimmerman Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help offset funeral expenses.
