Steven W Loy

FT. WAYNE, INDIANA- Steven W. Loy, 68, of Ft. Wayne, Indiana and formerly of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Wednesday August 23, 2023, at his residence in Ft. Wayne, Indiana.  He was born January 9, 1955, in South Bend, Indiana to Eugene & Janie (Lloyd) Loy.

On July 28, 2019, in Ft. Wayne, Indiana he married Constance M. “Connie” DiFilippo.  She survives along with 1 son, Jonathan A.( Amber) Loy of Ft. Wayne, IN; 3 grandsons, Maddox, Leonidis and Giovanni; his father, Eugene Loy of Elkhart, IN and 3 sisters, Carolyn “Belinda” Loy, Elizabeth Loy, Sherry (Richard) Holdeman all of Elkhart, IN.  he was preceded in death by his mother, Janie Loy.

Steven graduated from Jimtown High School in 1974.  He enlisted in the US Air Force in 1975 and was discharged in 1995.  He worked at Jacobs Steel in Elkhart as a press operator.  Steven enjoyed fishing, trapping, raising chickens, gardening and loved being outdoors.  Steven also was an avid Notre Dame Football fan and a Jimtown Jimmie fan.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be held at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home 700 East Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, Indiana on Friday, September 08, 2023. Visitation will take place from 11:00AM to 1:00PM. Then a procession will leave the funeral home for Prairie Street Cemetery where there will be Military Honors rendered.  Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with his care.
