Steve D Crussemeyer

June 16, 1950 - December 19, 2023

Steve was born in Elkhart, Indiana to Ralph Dale Crussemeyer and Shirley (Breit)Thompson who preceded him in death. He is survived by his brother Daniel Crussemeyer, sons Todd (Michele) Crussemeyer, and Brad Crussemeyer, daughter Lindsay (Muris) Agic. Along with his six grandchildren Adi, Ami, Alexandria, Andrew, Mathew and Johnathon. The draft for the Vietnam War was still in effect so Steve decided to go enlist, in the Marines. Thankfully he made it home and was able to marry his sweetheart Connie (Peepers)Wilcox and have those three beautiful children. During his time in Vietnam, he became interested in the Martial Arts so upon his return he studied to become a black belt. He was very proud of his achievements and was very proud of his son Todd for continuing the tradition. Steve enjoyed the outdoors. Mushroom hunting and fishing, preferably together. It was at a fishing trip that he met his current wife Gail (Riley). If a girl can camp and fish she’s the right one! First and foremost, Steve loved his country. He was proud of his service, proud to be a Marine. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. funeral service on Saturday, December 30, 2023 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home 700 E Jackson Blvd, Elkhart Indiana 46516. Chaplin Lois Tamayo will officiate. Burial with military honors will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
