SHIRLEY ANN YACKS

EDWARDSBURG, MI- Shirley Ann Yacks, 85, of Edwardsburg, passed away Thursday April 6, 2023, at Borgess Hospital in Kalamazoo, MI. She was born June 18, 1938, in Bay City, Michigan to Albert & Leota (Sherky) Sutter.
On October 12, 1957, in Bay City, Michigan she married Gerald Leonard Yacks. He preceded her in death on May 4, 2022, in Edwardsburg, Michigan.
Surviving is her son, Gary Yacks, of Edwardsburg, MI; 3 grandchildren, Lynsee Yacks, Krys (Allison) Yacks both of Elkhart, Nykee (Frank) Gasko of Goshen; 9 great-grandchildren and 2 sisters, Colleen Richter of Bay City, MI and Patricia Metzger of Lakeland, FL. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Gerald and 2 siblings, Karen Johnson, and Tom Sutter.
Shirley was a homemaker and she enjoyed spending time with her family and taking care of her pets.
Cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
