Scott Allen Hupp

ELKHART- Scott Allen Hupp, 51, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday December 17, 2020 at the Center for Hospice Care in Elkhart.  He was born January 12, 1969 in South Bend, Indiana to Donald Fillmore and Suzanne Hupp.

     He is survived by 3 children, Ashley S. Hupp, Taylor N. Hupp both of Elkhart and Nathan F. Hupp stationed with the USMC in North Carolina.  There is a granddaughter on the way, 2 brothers survive Brian (Lynee) Perkins and David (Collette) Smith both of Elkhart and a nephew Eric Perkins.  Scott was preceded in death by his mother and father and a Grandmother Gertrude Hupp.

     Scott was a member of the Northside Baptist Church in Elkhart, he enjoyed fishing and bowling and was an avid IU basketball fan.  Scott retired from the Elkhart Police Department as a detective in 2019 following 21 years of service.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 3-7 p.m. Monday December 21, 2020 at the Omega Event Center, 2130 Middlebury Street, Elkhart, IN.  Face masks and social distancing will be required.  Additional visitation will be held from 10-11 a.m. on Tuesday December 22, 2020 at the Northside Baptist Church in Elkhart, where funeral services will take place at 11:00 a.m.  Pastor Carl Henry will preside and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend, where the Elkhart Police Department will render honors.
