SALLY JOE WHITMAN

November 15, 1958 – October 8, 2021

ELKHART- Sally Joe Whitman, 62, of Elkhart, died Friday October 8, 2021, at Elkhart General hospital. She was born November 15, 1958, in Elkhart, Indiana to Willard and Edna May (Merle) Sutherlin.

Surviving are 3 sons, Kalep Lemons, James Moran, John Dale Whitman; 7 grandchildren;2 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Jacquelin A. Ramirez, Donna M. Miller, Willard “Boy” Sutherlin and a host of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Jack Hannah “Babe” Sutherlin.

Sally enjoyed watching the fish in her pond, raising birds, bossing her family around, bowling, dancing on the weekends and spending time with her family.

There will be no visitation or services and cremation will take place. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral home is entrusted with her care.

Memorial contributions may be given to United cancer Services of Elkhart County.
