Russell D. Waterson Jr.

July 2, 1959-July 13, 2024

ELKHART-Russell D. Waterson Jr., 65, passed away July 13, 2024, at his home in Elkhart.  He was born July 2, 1959, in Elkhart to Russell & Frances (Toothman) Waterson Sr.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Sherry Harting, 2 grandchildren, Cassandra and Abby, 2 siblings, Cynthia Hamilton and Ricky Waterson Sr.

Surviving are 4 children, Russell (Kendra) Waterson III, Rusti (Noel) Condado, Randi (Albert) Araujo, Alfred “Tommy” Lowe, 24 grandchildren, and 25 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are 2 brothers, Frank, Douglas, numerous nieces and nephews.

  Russell worked at Marson’s International for many years and enjoyed riding his Harley.  He was an avid gun enthusiast and a die-hard Trump fan.  Most important to him was his family and he will be remembered for being humble, compassionate to others, and an all-around great man.  His values and integrity were great examples to his family and they will continue to strive to be as good of a person as he was.  Some parting words from Russell, “ If you don’t like me, bite me” and “If you want some, come get some”.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help offset expenses.

  Per his wishes cremation will take place.  Celebration of Life Gathering will be held Friday, August 23, 2024 at the Studebaker Park 1020 McDonald Street, Elkhart, Indiana starting at 5:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.
