Ronald Trosper Obituary

Ronald K. Trosper, Sr., 78, passed away May 25, 2021 at his home in Elkhart.  He was born April 1, 1943 in Elkhart, IN to Raymond & Martha (Sayger) Trosper.

  On October 30, 1980 he married Gloria Pontius; she survives along with 7 children, Anna (Myron Hufford) Trosper, Ronald (Sunshine) Trosper, Jr., James (Kimberly) Trosper, Susan (Danny) Proud, Ronna Wiley, John Trosper, and Jolene Trosper.  Also surviving are 18 grandchildren, Matthew, Spencer, Madison, Sophia, Andrea, Emily, Megan, Morgan, 7 great-grandchildren and his cat. “Thomas”.

  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Rebecca Neiswinger, a grandson, Cameron Trosper, a sister, Mary Truman and a brother, Donald Trosper. 

  Ronnie was a proud U.S. Army Veteran, a 25-year member of the American Legions Post #308 and a member of Victory Chapel Church.  He retired from Dexter Rim & Wheel in 1999 and retired from Maple Tree Transportation in 2018.  He enjoyed fishing and drinking coffee with his friends at Jan’s Place almost daily.   

  Most dear to his heart was his grandchildren whom meant the world to him. 

  Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. Tuesday, June 1, 2021 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Services will be Wednesday, June 2, 2021 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Oakridge Cemetery in Goshen and presiding will be Pastor Larry Sonnenberg from Victory Chapel Church.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the Ronald McDonald House.
