RODNEY L. RHOADS
October 29, 1947 – December 23, 2022
ELKHART- Rodney L. Rhoads, 75, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully and surrounded by his family on Friday, December 23, 2022. He was born October 29, 1947, to Ralph and Donnalee Rhoads Freshour in Elkhart.
On December 28, 1964, he married the late Janet Sue Goldy.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Georgiana Rhoads; brother, Roger and 2 daughters, Tammy R. Brusnahan and Tonya K. Rhoads.
Survivors include a sister, Debbie Wyzlic; 3 children, Tina Helton, Celestial C. Rhoads and Darick L. Rhoads; 4 granddaughters, Jennasen Leedy, Dawn Vandervort, Heather and Autumn; 3 great-grandchildren, Austin, William and Annabell.
He worked as a buffer for many years and worked part-time at Lowes following retirement.
In keeping with his wishes, cremation will take place and there will be no visitation or service.
Walley–Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
Memorial contributions may be given to St Jude Children’s Hospital in memory of Rodney.
