ELKHART-Richard P. Riege, Sr., 52, died January 2, 2021 at his home in Elkhart.  He was born February 5, 1968 in Elkhart.

  He was preceded in death by his father, George L. Riege, Jr., and 1 aunt, Leanna Turco.

  Surviving is his wife, Cindy L. (Schaefer) Riege, his mother Kathryn (Hunt) Tibbo and 4 children, Brittinie (Ritz Kulcsar) Riege, Richard (Sarah) Riege, Jr., Brandi Lindhorn and Coty Riege.  Also surviving are 2 grandchildren, Bella, Vincent “Vinnie”, 7 siblings, Rod Riege, Rasha Ricky, Anthony (Bobbie) Bradley, Troy (Jen) Bradley, Katrina (Doug) Couch, Michelle Cook, Mike (Michelle) Breniser, an uncle, Brian Turco, a special cousin Frankee Turco, and numerous other family members.

  Richard worked at AGM Structures, was a military supporter, and was pro-life.  He collected watches, coins, guns, loved an adrenaline rush,   sky dived, zip lined and stood at the edge of the Grand Canyon.

  Through forgiveness he found faith and acceptance which allowed him to impact the world with his words, touching and saving lives globally.  We love you and for us Heaven can’t wait.   

  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 1:00 p.m. funeral on Saturday January  9, 2021 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.

Face masks and social distancing will be enforced, and attendance is limited to 25 people.   Presiding will be his stepbrother, Mike Breniser and burial will follow in Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the family.  The family would like to extend a special THANK YOU to AGM Structures, and to Dr. Khan and Southern Care Hospice for the wonderful care they gave to Richard.
