REBECCA C. BORDERS

May 31, 1957 – March 24, 2025

ELKHART- Rebecca C. Borders, 67, of Elkhart, passed away suddenly Monday March 24, 2025, at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born May 31, 1957, in Elkhart, Indiana to Paul & Esther (Miller) Stauffer.

     On May 27, 2017, in Elkhart, Indiana she married Richard L. Borders.  He survives along with 3 stepchildren, Amanda (Blake) Searer of Elkhart, IN, Heather Borders of Peru, IN, Ashley (Thomas) Johnson of Elkhart, IN; 8 step grandchildren; 5 step great grandchildren; 1 brother, Sam (Jodi Risser-Stauffer of Elkhart, IN and 2 nephews, Jacob & Zackary Stauffer.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

     Rebecca was employed as a bookkeeper in the RV supply industry.  She was a member of the DAV Auxiliary and enjoyed cooking, reading and working in her flower garden.

      Rebecca's Celebration of Life gathering will be held Saturday, May 3, 2025, from 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. at the Bristol American Legion Post #143, 905 Maple Street, Bristol, Indiana 46507.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
