Phyllis R. Marbeiter January 10, 1928-November 13, 2018 ELKHART-Phyllis R. Marbeiter, 90, passed away November 13, 2018 at Elkhart General Hospital. She was born January 10, 1928 in Elkhart to Peter & Clara (Spaude) Magnusen. On August 30, 1947 in Elkhart she married Roland Marbeiter; he survives along with 2 children, Jeffrey (Pam) Marbeiter, Sandra (Jon) Rheinheimer, 5 grandchildren, Bryan Marbeiter, Jason Marbeiter, Sarah Duffy, Jennifer (Jon) Paige, Rachel Rheinheimer, 7 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild and a sister-in-law, Latona Kern. She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings, Harris Magnusen, Ralph Magnusen, Chester Magnusen, Glenn Magnusen, Gladys Baker, Blanche Gildner and Janet Barfell. Phyllis was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and the CTS Quarter Century Club. She retired from CTS in 1989 after 30 years of service. Phyllis was an amazing housekeeper who loved her children and grandchildren deeply. In her spare time she enjoyed cooking, baking, decorating and most of all shopping. Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to the 3 pm funeral service Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Trinity Lutheran Church. Presiding will be Pastor Spencer Mielke. Burial will be held at a later date in Rice Cemetery. In lieu of flowers please send memorial contributions to Trinity Lutheran Church and School building funds.
