PETER M. PHILLIPS

June 7, 1947 – September 9, 2022

ELKHART- Peter M. Phillips, 75, of Elkhart, died Friday September 9, 2022, at Elkhart General Hospital.  He was born June 7, 1947, in Elkhart, Indiana to Victor & Bette (Haub) Phillips.

     Peter was preceded in death by his parents.  He is survived by his fiancée of 44 years, Christine A. Eaglesfield of Elkhart and his 2 furry friends, Archie & Ziggy.  Peter graduated in 1965 from Elkhart High School, attended Jacksonville State College and Houston University here he was a basketball standout.  He enjoyed riding his motorcycle and spending time at his cottage on Corey Lake.

Peter loved being on the lake riding around in his boat and going fast on the water.

     Peter was employed as an office manager at AB’s Gloves and Abrasives in Sturgis, Michigan.

     Cremation will take place at Elkhart Cremation Services and a private gathering will be held in the spring of 2023.

     Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.  Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
