PAULETTE KAY DEHNER

April 20, 1952 – November 2, 2020

 

ELKHART- Paulette Kay Dehner, 68, of Elkhart, passed away Monday November 2, 2020 at her residence.  She was born April 20, 1952 in Elkhart, Indiana to James August & Sally Lee (Ackley) Leers.

     On May 11, 1985 she married Ronald “Ron” C. Dehner.  He survives along with a daughter A.J. “Amy” (Zach) Schuler of Elkhart; 6 grandchildren, Skyler Schuler, Hunter Schuler, Gavin Ferrell, Taylor Schuler, Kaleb Walberg, Emery Schuler; a great granddaughter, Irene Schuler and her 2 furry friends, her dog Tyson and her parakeet Sunshine.  She was preceded in death by her father James August Leers and her mother Sally Lee Rogers.

     Paulette was a member of the UAW Retirees Club, enjoyed reading, cooking, baking, watching TV shows and movies.  She also was an avid animal lover.  She worked for many years as an assembler at L.E. Johnson Products.

     A celebration of life service for Paulette will be held at 4:00 p.m. Friday November 6, 2020 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Pastor Tom DeFries from St. Paul’s United Methodist Church will preside.  Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association or the American Heart Association.
