Paul E. Ravenscroft, Sr.

January 6, 1945 – January 12, 2023

ELKHART- Paul E. Ravenscroft, Sr., 78, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday January 12, 2023, at Elkhart Meadows.  He was born January 6, 1945, in Elkhart, Indiana to Floyd and Irene M. (Juday) Ravenscroft.

     After graduating from Concord High School in 1965, he went on to join the US Navy.  He was in the Navy from 1965 – 1969, served in the Vietnam conflict from 1968 - 1969.  After being discharged he returned to Elkhart and did his tool & die training at Walerko Tool and Die in Elkhart.  He worked at L.E. Johnson for 26 years, retiring in 2010.  Paul was an avid fisherman for many years.

     Paul is survived by his children, Paul (Stephanie) Ravenscroft, Jr., of Elkhart, Christine (Matthew) Schultz of Lafayette, IN, Justina Ravenscroft of Nappanee, IN and Julian (Kathie) Ravenscroft of Daleville, IN.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Nathan Ravenscroft of Lafayette, IN, Lindsay (Nicholas) Edwards of Elkhart, Alexandra and Emily Anthony of Aiken, SC, Ivy Anthony and Holden Mullins of Lafayette, IN, Adelyn and Lila Ravenscroft of Daleville, IN and step granddaughter Kayla Schultz.  Also surviving are his great grandchildren Krew and Sutton Edwards of Elkhart, IN and Raelynn Schultz of Lafayette, IN.  He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother Richard Ravenscroft. 

     Funeral services for Paul will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday January 17, 2023, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the start of the service.  Burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery where there will be full military honors rendered.

     Memorial donations may be made in his honor to the Wounded Warrior Project or the Elkhart County Humane Society.
