ELKHART- Patricia Ann Scott, 89, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday December 13, 2023, at her residence in Elkhart surrounded by her loving family.  She was born November 23, 1934, in Elkhart, Indiana to Ralph & Georgia (Davidson) Sarber.

     She first married Robert E. Scott in 1949; he preceded her in death in 1978.  She then married James Maple in 1987; he preceded her in death in 2015.  She was also preceded by her father, Ralph Sarber, her mother, Georgia Stock, son, Steve Scott, 1 brother, Richard Sarber and 2 sisters, Joan DeCarlo, and Barbara Williams.

     Surviving are 2 children, Robert E. (Susan) Scott of Elkhart, IN, Deborah Ruby of Hudson, IN; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.

     Patricia was a former member of the Cass County Conservation Club.  She dearly loved her cat “Buddy”.  Patricia was formerly employed at Cooks Department Store in Elkhart and Klines in Goshen.

     A procession will form at 1:45 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home and the graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at Rice Cemetery.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Cass County Conservation Club in Union, Michigan.
