Ora Harold (Jr.) Cunningham

ORA HAROLD CUNNINGHAM, JR.

March 24, 1927 – September 30, 2020

ELKHART- Ora Harold Cunningham, Jr., 93, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday September 30, 2020 at Golden Living Center in Elkhart.  He was born March 24, 1927 in Elkhart to Ora Harold & Zeffa (Jamison) Cunningham, Sr.

     On July 2, 1949 he married Dorothy J. Dick.  She preceded him in death on September 1, 2008.  Surviving are 2 daughters, Vicki L. (Richard) Warner of White Pigeon and Diana K. Cunningham of Elkhart and a host of nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a brother, Richard L. Cunningham, 4 sisters, Maxine Rigby, Helen Schrock, Thelma Lowell, Ruth Swartzell and a nephew Roger E. DeVore.

     Ora was a member of the Grace Lutheran Church, was a US Navy veteran, was an avid Indianapolis Colts fan and he enjoyed watching little league baseball, bowling and golfing.

He worked at the First National Bank for 7 years and retired from the Elkhart Post Office after 28 years of service.

     A private family graveside service for Ora will be held at Prairie Street Cemetery.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
