NORMA J. OSBORNE

August 21, 1924 – July 5, 2020

ELKHART- Norma J. Osborne, 95, of Elkhart, died on Sunday July 5, 2020 at her home.  She was born August 21, 1924 in Elkhart to John Andre & Vera Bernice (Frederick) Lonni.

     On May 27, 1951 in Elkhart she married William H. Osborne.  He preceded her in death on August 29, 2017 in Elkhart.  Surviving is a sister-in-law Dorothy Hilgartner of Naples, FL; 2 nephews, Kenneth J. (Darlene) Troyer of Vandalia, MI, Alan Troyer of Union, MI; 3 nieces, Cathy (Gary) DeSutter of New Castle, IN, Judy (Brewster) Freeland of Gardner, Montana, Debra (Jeffrey) Chilcott of Elkhart and numerous great nieces and great nephews.  Also surviving is her cousin, Betty Wiley of Elkhart; her 2 caregivers, Cindy Adams and Amy Huff and her handyman, Rod Campbell.  She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

     Norma graduated in 1942 from Elkhart High School.  She was a member of the Rowdy Red Hatters and a member of the Married Women’s Club.  Norma enjoyed traveling and had traveled to over 100 Countries.  She was very active in making wreaths and giving them to people in the community.  She always said she had a wonderful life with no regrets. Norma worked at CTS for 47 years, retiring in 1990.

     In keeping with her wishes cremation will take place a private celebration of life service will take place at a later date.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
