Nicholas Kyle Soward

October 2, 1981 – August 19, 2023

Nicholas Kyle Soward, 41, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on August 19, 2023. He was born on October 2, 1981, in Elkhart, Indiana.

Nick was a loving husband, father, son, brother and uncle. He had a vibrant personality and was known for lighting up any room he entered. Nick enjoyed spending time with his family, playing golf, being at the lake, and helping others.

He is survived by his loving wife, Alisha (Hays) Soward, his son, Marshall James, and his parents, Nathan and Janis Soward. Nick was a beloved brother to Matthew Jennings (Stephanie) Soward, Ryan Thomas (Susan) Soward, and Justin Ross (Allison) Soward. He was also an uncle to Logan, Fallon, Karson, Henry, Carter, Alexander, Caroline and Eliana.

Nick attended Mary Feeser Elementary School and graduated from Elkhart Memorial High School. He furthered his education at Indiana University.

In his professional life, Nick worked for Osbornes Transport since 2005, where he made significant contributions.

Services to honor Nicholas's life will be held at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home 700 East Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, Indiana on Friday, August 25, 2023. Visitation will take place from 2:00-4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ADEC-Association for the Disabled of Elkhart County where Marshall has benefited from several of their programs.
