Myrtle Marie Peak, 92, was called Home on May 28, 2021. She is preceded in death by her parents, Lydia Bradshaw and John Denny; 3 husbands, Donald Hill, Kent Longacre, and Earl Peak; 11 siblings; son in law, Dairel Seabolt; and great grandchildren, Joshua Chaney and Serenity Grace Seabolt. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cathy Cook (Robert), Roma Seabolt, Bryan Hill (Kim), and John Kevin Hill (Theresa); 9 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren, 8 great great grandchildren with 2 on the way, and a host of other family and dear friends.
Myrtle was born in Montcoal, West Virginia, on June 15, 1928. Giving and kind, she spent her life taking care of others. Though a tiny woman in stature, she was one of the strongest, working for Blessing Instruments until she was 70 years old and doing dishes and folding laundry up until 4 days before she passed. Myrtle was a true matriarch to her family, making sure everyone felt special and important. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation and service will take place at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, Elkhart, Indiana, on Thursday, June 10, 2021. The visitation will begin at 11:00 am and continue until service time at 1:00 pm. Interment will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery.
