Michael E. Thalheimer

January 10, 1950 - March 2, 2025

Michael Passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday March 2, 2025.  He is the son of John and Myrtle Thalheimer.  Michael is survived by his 2 daughters: Carey (John) Bendoraitis of Ft Lauderdale and Michelle (Todd) Crussemeyer of Elkhart.  4 Grandchildren; Megan Riley of Indianapolis, Andrew Crussemeyer of Elkhart, Madison Riley of Atlanta and Mathew Crussemeyer of Elkhart.  5 siblings; John Thalheimer, Jr. of Bristol, Linda (Jerry) Ervin of Elkhart, Patti (Steve) Stump of Mottville, Thomas Thalheimer of Elkhart, and Mary (Michael) Wilson of Elkhart.  He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Steve Thalheimer, his sister Therese Thalheimer and many dear friends.

Michael graduated from Elkhart High School in 1968.  At the age of 17 he began his career at Vincent Bach as a night watchman.  He moved up to the line and spent his remaining years working as a tradesman.  He loved his time there, the work he did, and the lifelong friendships he built.

In his younger years he loved all the times spent with his siblings.  He often spoke of their fishing and canoeing adventures.  Time spent riding motorcycles and the newspaper route that was passed down to him from his older brother John.  He loved playing cards with friends and family and enjoyed spending time with everyone.  He looked forward to weekend hog roasts, great food and all the people he would meet.

Michael would say he lived a full life.  He would want to be remembered for his humor, all the crazy stories he shared, his kindness and his love for life.  He was a carefree spirit who hid his heart deep inside.

The Celebration of Life service for Michael will be at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 East Jackson Blvd, Elkhart, Indiana, Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 4:00. Friends may come one hour prior to the service.
