MICHAEL ROBERT BERRY

October 28, 1956 – October 7, 2020

 

 

BRISTOL- Michael Robert Berry, 63, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday October 7, 2020 at his residence in Bristol.  He was born October 28, 1956 in Hillsdale, Michigan to Robert W. & Harriett (Oldfield) Berry.

     On June 2, 2001 in Elkhart he married Sandra Kay (Eash) Jackson.  She survives along with 3 sisters, Jackie L. (Brad) Ullery, Peggy E. (Larry) Schumacher both of Elkhart, Cindy L. (Gerald) Alexander of Middlebury; 5 nieces and nephews; 12 great nieces and nephews; his stepmother, Rachel Berry of Elkhart and his 2 fur babies, Lera & Tiger.

     Mike was a member of the Bristol American Legion Post #143, he also belonged to the breakfast group that met at Georges Restaurant, enjoyed collecting model trains and traveling with his wife Sandra.  Mike worked for 41 years at Norfolk & Southern Railroad and retired in 2016 as a conductor.

     Visitation for family and friends will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday and from Noon till 1:00 p.m. Monday at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday October 12, 2020 at the Funeral Home and cremation will follow.  Burial will be private at a later date in Rice Cemetery.

     Memorial contributions may be given to The Center for Hospice Care.
