MARY KATHERINE HIMEBAUGH

May 27, 1970 – January 13, 2021

ELKHART- Mary Katherine Himebaugh, 50, of Elkhart, died Wednesday January 13, 2021 at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born May 27, 1970 in Detroit, Michigan.

     Surviving is her son, Jarrett L. Himebaugh of Elkhart, her father Edmund E. Steltner of Elkhart, her sister Christina (Tom) Rector of Phoenix and a niece Gabby Rector and a nephew Drew Rector.  She was preceded in death by her mother Joyce (Philley) Steltner.

     Mary graduated in 1988 from Elkhart Central High School.  She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, enjoyed music and was a driver for the Elkhart marching band and the Elkhart football and softball teams.

     Mary was a school bus driver for the Elkhart Community School System for many years.  She loved her job and truly cared for the kids and people she worked with.

     Cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will take place at a later date.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
