Mary Lou Hartman

ELKHART-Mary Lou Hartman, 79, passed away August 19, 2020 at Elkhart General Hospital.  She was born January 18, 1941 in Nappanee to John & Hope (Brock) Callander.

  She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers, Robert Callander, Ralph Callander and her companion of over 25 years, Paul Watson.

  Surviving is 2 sons, Robert (Kathy) Fleck, Shawn Hartman, 7 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.  Also surviving is 3 sisters, Barbara Miller, Doris Rutherford and Ellen Callander. 

  Mary worked at Federal Paperboard and Gustafson Lighting for many years.   She was also an Auxiliary member of the D.A.V.  The most precious thing to her was watching her grandchildren grow up and spending time with her family. 

  Visitation will be 2 hours prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service Wednesday, August 26, 2020 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Presiding will be Pastor Shirley Fox.   

  Burial will be held at a later date at Frame Cemetery.

  Memorial contributions may be given to the American Cancer Society.
