Marvin graduated from Purdue University in 1964 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering. From there he went to California to work and go to the University of California. He worked in many places during that time. Most notable was his involvement with aerospace engineering for NASA during the time of the Apollo program. He graduated with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from the University of California in 1966 and married his wife Jeanette and started his family. From there, his love for education, music and hobbies shone through the years. He worked at the Elkhart Area Career Center teaching high schoolers different trades. He ran a successful computer business for 17 years near downtown Elkhart building computers, providing support for software programs he created etc. From there, he eventually moved to Colorado, joined the SLV Big Band playing trumpet and again teaching a variety of classes at Trinidad Junior College. He always had a passion for woodworking and made custom mission style furniture. Aside from these accomplishments, Marvin’s focus was on the family. He loved his family very much and would always consider and include us. He was a wealth of knowledge and provided love and support to all that he knew.
