Martha A. Cranmer Obituary

 

   Martha A. Cranmer, 97, passed away May 28, 2024, at Greenleaf Health Campus.  She was born December 9, 1926, in Elkhart to Nelson & Blanche (Lyon) Riggle.


  On November 11, 1950, in Elkhart she married Darwin “Moon” Cranmer; he preceded her in death.  She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, James “Jim” “Moon” Cranmer, a brother, James Riggle, and a sister, Betty Fedder.


  Surviving is a daughter-in-law, Jacqueline Cranmer, 2 grandchildren, Jamie (Jeremy) Barts, Joshua Cranmer, 8 great-grandchildren, Tyler, Adrienne, Alexus, Corinna, Miranda, Chloe, Jeremiah, and Jameson.


  Martha was a wonderful homemaker that enjoyed hosting family events, gardening, sewing, cooking and making the most amazing pies.  


     Per her wishes cremation will take place and a burial will be held at Rice Cemetery on Friday, July 5, 2024 at 10 a.m. where she and her son will be placed in their final resting place.


  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home has been entrusted with the arrangements.


     Memorial contributions may be given to Heartland Hospice or to the Ribbon of Hope.
