Mark Richard Cranmer passed into eternal slumber at the age of 67 on Friday, January 22, 2021 in his home surrounded by his loving partner as well as his sister Shirley and special friends.
Mark was born on July 26, 1953 in South Bend, IN to Richard Clare Cranmer and Helen D. (Grant) Cranmer.
He was raised by his loving grandparents, Clare Willis Cranmer and Helen Irene Cranmer.
He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
Left to cherish his memory is his partner of 47 years, Michael R.
Martin, siblings, Shirley (Randall) Fox, Helen McDaniel, both of Elkhart, IN, Teri Cranmer (Jerry Salas) of Surprise AZ, William Michael Cranmer of Phoenix, AZ, Tim (Debbie) Cranmer of Osceola, and Paul G. Watson of Elkhart, IN, nephews, Richard I. (Brittany) Hooven of Mishawaka, IN, and Shawn Cranmer of South Bend, IN, nieces, Angie Jackson, Rochelle Watson, and Anna McDaniel all of Elkhart, IN. Also surviving is a great-nephew, Charlie Jackson of Elkhart, IN, his aunt and uncle, Marlene and Kenneth Binkley of Hot Springs Village, AR, cousins, Christine (Edwin) Cleaveland of Ballwin, MO, and Julie Evans of St. Petersburg, FL.
He loved his special friends, Randy (Vicky) Wozniel of White Pigeon, MI, Jane Pantoja of Grand Rapids, MI, Reggie Blough of Fort Myers, FL, Patty Trip of Elkhart, IN, Cindy Cain of Elkhart, IN, Tyler (Jessica) Cain of Granger, IN, Callie, Quili, and RC Aquilino Rold'and Solis' of Sevilla, Spain.
Mark lived his entire life in Elkhart, IN graduating from Elkhart High School. He went on to become a Quality Auditor at Chase Bag, Instamatic, Riblet, and Chairman of Goshen, IN.
He was a jack of all trades and could fix anything. His passion was VCR recorders and tapes, recording over 400 movies and plays.
His fur babies Mee Mee and Boo Boo were his kids.
A special thank you to the nurses of Heartland hospice. Each and every one was kind and caring. He had a special bond with nurse Patty and enjoyed every visit she made. She was with him the day and night he passed. It was a blessing to have her with us in his final moments.
Visitation will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 11 a.m.- 1 p.m. at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery and presiding will be his sister, Pastor Shirley Fox.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society.
