Mark J. Cooper, 57, passed away April 17, 2025, at Goshen Hospital.  He was born November 23, 1967, in Elkhart. 

  Surviving are his parents, Jack & Verlinda Cooper, 5 children, Mark Cooper, Tara (Bryan) Hatton, Savannah Cooper, Summer (David Florian-Carlson) Cooper, Sabrina Cooper, and a granddaughter, Autumn Hatton.  Also surviving are 7 siblings, David (Becky) Cooper, Crystal Garcia, Jackie (Marko) Mahony, Steve Jackson, Steve (Sherry) Cooper, Stanley Chandler, Sharon Chandler, a son-in-law, Phil Tapia, fiancé, Holly Jenkins, numerous nieces, nephews and extended family members.

   He was preceded in death by a sister, Sharon Tapia and a brother, Tom Cooper.

  Mark was a kind, honest, and hardworking man that enjoyed all the simple things in life.  He liked to go rock hunting, bowling, fishing, bottle hunting, riding his motorcycle, going to the casino, and watching looney tunes.  He could often be found tinkering in a garage or wheeling & dealing.  He will be most remembered for always being able to make others laugh, his willingness to help everyone, and his love for his family.  

  Visitation will be held 4-7 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Additional visitation will be held from 12- 1 p.m. with the funeral service beginning at 1 p.m. at the funeral home Wednesday, April 23, 2025.  Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery and presiding will be Pastor Carl Henry from Northside Baptist Church.
