ELKHART-Marie E. Moses, 93, passed away January 12, 2025, at Greenleaf Health Care.  She was born May 10, 1931, in Kalamazoo, MI to Theodore & Hazel (Dunham) Woodward. 

    She was preceded in death by her husband of over 50 years, Alfred Moses, parents, son, David Moses, 2 sons-in-law, Gary Meeks, Bennie Leazenby, and 2 great-grandchildren.

  Surviving are 3 children Karen Leazenby, Linda Meeks, Dennis (Cheryl) Moses, daughter-in-law, Brenda Moses, 12 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, on the way, 1 more great-grandchild, and 1 more great-great-grandchild.

  Marie formally worked at Johnson Controls, Eby Pines, and was the owner of Lakeshore Roller World in Stevensville, MI.  She taught skating lessons for Eby Pines Skating Club, was a Girl Scout Troup Leader, and a member of Grace Lutheran Church.  Marie was a caretaker for many others throughout her life and more than anything else she loved making memories with her family especially her grandchildren. 

    Visitation will be held from 11-1 p.m. on Thursday, January 16, 2025 with services beginning at 1 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 831 W Marion Street Elkhart, IN 46516. Officiating in both services will be Sister Nora Frost.

  Entombment will be held Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at 11 a.m. at Mt. Ever Rest Memorial Park 3941 S. Westnedge Ave. Kalamazoo, MI 49008.

  Memorial contributions may be given to Grace Lutheran Church or to Cancer Resources for Elkhart County.
