MARGARET MAY NOFFSINGER

November 13, 1937 – March 16, 2023

ELKHART- Margaret May Noffsinger, 85, of Elkhart, passed away Thursday, March 16, 2023, at Elkhart General Hospital following a brief illness. She was born November 13, 1937, in Elkhart to the late Emory and Harriett (Kemble) Swank.

On June 27, 1954, she married the late Trancy “Terry” Ludlow Noffsinger. He preceded her in death on November 4, 2014.

Margaret was employed as a teller at St. Joe Valley Bank, Midwest Commerce Bank and Chase Bank prior to her retirement. She enjoyed reading true crime books, watching John Wayne movies, remodeling and decorating her home, dining at fine restaurants and spending time with her favorite dog “Sabie”.

Survivors include 2 daughters, Claire Ann (Mike) Kelly and Laura Kathleen (Allen) Veich; 3 grandchildren, Jordan Kathleen Kelly, Stephanie Ann (Mike) Bess and Stace Ludlow (Ashley) Williams; 7 great grandchildren, Shealyn Banas, Saoirse Banas, Sibeal Banas, Ruarc Banas, Sydney Jones, Stone McGlynn and Shay Bess; niece, Kathleen Ann (Teri) McNeal.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Kathleen Eakins.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at 11:30 am at Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Hospital in memory of Margaret.  Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home 700 East Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, Indiana has been entrusted with her care.
