MARCIA G. SHELTON

April 7, 1950 – May 30, 2025

ELKHART- Marcia G. Shelton, 75, of Elkhart, Indiana, passed away Friday May 30, 2025, at her residence in Elkhart.  She was born April 7, 1950, in Elkhart, Indiana to Iverson Lynn & Helen Louise (Maggert) Grove.

     On July 1, 1982, she married James Edward Shelton.  He survives along with 3 children, Peter (Joi) Shelton of Clearwater, FL, Alisa (Mark) Hanna of Bristol, IN, Karen Young (Kevin Plank) of Bristol, IN; 1 stepson, Brett (Tricia) Shelton of Munster, IN; 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.  Also surviving are 2 brothers, Iverson C. Grove, Jon Grove both of Elkhart, IN and 3 sisters, Sandy Good of Goshen, IN, Diana Stamper of Littleton, CO and Gloria Rohm of Elkhart, IN.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

     Marcia was a retired Registered Nurse having worked as a floor nurse at Elkhart General Hospital, a Physician’s Office Nurse, a PT Nurse and a Home Healthcare Nurse.  For 20 years she ran a horse boarding facility.

Marcia enjoyed traveling and going on cruises, to Alaska, Panama, Venezuela, The Caribbean and New England.  She dearly loved taking girl trips with her daughters.

     In keeping with her wish’s cremation will take place and a celebration of life gathering will be at New Hope United Methodist Church, 28765 C.R. 4 Elkhart, Indiana 46514, on Saturday, July 19, 2025, from 1pm-3pm with Pastor Sarah Miller presiding. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.
