Makia Donelle Tartt

April 16, 1999 – September 2, 2023

GOSHEN- Makia Donelle Tartt, 24, of Goshen, passed away Saturday September 2, 2023, in South Bend, Indiana.  She was born April 16, 1999, in Elkhart, Indiana to Toby T. Maxwell & Wendy L. Slagle.

Left to cherish her memory is her mother, Wendy L. (Vernell) Lark of Goshen, IN, her father, Toby T. Maxwell of Michigan City, IN; her daughter, Dior A. Tartt of Goshen, IN and her sister, Myleah Slagle of Ft. Wayne, IN.  Additional survivors include a nephew, Eli Slagle of Ft. Wayne, IN, maternal grandparents Lloyd & Karen Slagle of Nappanee, IN and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Makia was employed as a makeup artist and she enjoyed spending time with her family and friends, doing make up, and listening to music.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Sunday September 10, 2023, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, IN.  Cremation will follow the visitation at Elkhart Cremation Services.  Elkhart Cremation Services is entrusted with her care.

Memorial contributions may be given to Stronger Than Addiction, 1135 Middlebury Street, Elkhart, IN 46516
