LUCILLE JOYCE KIDDER

November 23, 1942 – September 19, 2023

GOSHEN, IN- Lucille Joyce Kidder, 80, of Goshen, passed away Tuesday September 19, 2023, at Majestic Care of Goshen.  She was born November 23, 1942, in Elkhart, Indiana to Lloyd E. & Laura M. (Roth) Kidder.

     Surviving are 2 sisters, Arlene Brandau of Goshen, IN, and Linda Kidder of South Bend, IN and 1 brother, Larry (Janice) Kidder of Osceola, IN.  She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 brothers, Edward L. Kidder, Stanley Kidder, Lewis Kidder, Lester Kidder, Thomas Kidder, Jack Kidder, and Richard Kidder.

     Lucille was formerly employed as a seamstress.  She enjoyed spending time with her family.  Lucille was always happy; her face would light up with the biggest smile.   She liked to dance and play as a child and in her teen years, she liked roller skating, dancing and going to the movies.

  Linda and Lucille lived together for a long time sharing many good times together camping, horseback riding, and shopping.  Lucille and Arlene also loved to shop and dance together as well.  The two of them enjoyed dressing alike for Halloween and other occasions.

     Funeral services for Lucille will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 22, 2023, at Waterman-Westbrook-Clouse Funeral Home.

Kendra Hixenbaugh from the Salvation Army in Goshen will render the service and burial will follow at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.  Friends may visit with the family for one hour prior to the service on Friday at the funeral home.

     Memorial contributions may be given to the Elkhart County Humane Society or the Goshen Salvation Army.
