LOUIS C. MARINO

June 25, 1922 – May 19, 2021

ELKHART- Louis C. Marino 98, of Elkhart, died Wednesday May 19, 2021 at his residence in Elkhart. He was born June 25, 1922 in Elkhart to Peter M. and Mary M. (Sonante) Marino.

On November 11, 1945 in Goshen, he married Gladys M. Gardner. She preceded him in death on March 31, 2003 in Elkhart. Also preceding in death were 5 siblings, Frank, Tony, Angela, Louise, and Bertha. Surviving is a son Frank C. (Charlene) Marino of Delaware, OH; 7 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson is on the way and numerous nieces and nephews.

Louis was a US army veteran serving during W.W.II and was awarded a bronze star. He was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and enjoyed golfing and working in his yard. Louis was the Co-Owner of Louie and Kelly’s Bar in Elkhart for many years.

Burial will be private in Rice Cemetery on Monday May 24, 2021 at 1:00 p.m. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral home is entrusted with his care.

Memorial contributions may be given to Heart to Heart Hospice or to St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church.
