Loretta Rae Luke
March 1, 1938 – January 6, 2023
ELKHART- Loretta Rae Luke, 84, of Elkhart, passed away Friday, January 6, 2023
at Valleyview HeathCare Center in Elkhart. She was born March 1, 1938 in
Elkhart to the late Ray and Mildred (Fishley) Pettit. On April 30,1955 she
married James A .Luke. He preceded her in death on February 27,1992.
Survivors include two daughters, Connie LeFever of Eureka, CA and Kathleen (Eddie) Mark of Elkhart; twin sons, Michael A. (Linda) Luke of Elkhart and Mitchell (Dianne) Luke of Elkhart; nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sister, Freida Pettit and brother, Alfred Pettit.
Loretta was previously employed with Whitehall Laboratories and CTS. She was a wonderful mother and loving grandmother. She enjoyed working in her yard and baking.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the 1:00 pm funeral service on Friday, January 13, 2023 at Wally-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home, 700 E. Jackson Blvd., Elkhart, IN. Entombment will be in Hope Mausoleum, Rice Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be gifted to Heart to Heart Hospice, 1178 Fremont Court, Suite 2, Elkhart, IN 46516 in memory of Loretta.
