LONNIE G. HOLLANDSWORTH

August 2, 1952 – September 20, 2022

Elkhart- Lonnie G. Hollandsworth, 70, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday September 20, 2022, at his residence in Elkhart. He was born August 2, 1952, in Elkhart, Indiana to William J. & Virginia M. (Depew) Hollandsworth.

Surviving are 2 siblings, Patricia S. Juday, Daniel K. (Deb) Hollandsworth both of Elkhart; 5 nieces, Alexis Juday, Mandie Schenk, Dusty Woolwine, Trisha Suver, Tonya Clark; 1 nephew, Mike Hollandsworth and several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and 1 brother, David Hollandsworth.

Lonnie graduated in 1970 from Elkhart High School and in 1974 from Purdue University with a degree in liberal arts. He enjoyed Indy car racing, especially the Indy 500 race. Lonnie also enjoyed anything to do with space and the launching of rockets. Lonnie had a great memory for remembering dates.

Cremation will take place and a celebration of life service will be held at a later date. Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with his care.
