Linda Eileen Curtis

Linda E. Curtis, 83, of Vandalia, MI, passed away on April 23, 2026. She was born on November 2, 1942, in Elkhart, IN, to the late Echo and Dorothy Slabaugh.

In 1977, Linda married Terry Curtis, and together they created a blended family at Birch Lake, MI. Linda was a devoted mother and grandmother who cherished her life on the lake. She was preceded in death by her husband, Terry, in 2018. Linda enjoyed running, cleaning, and spending time with her many dogs and cats.

She is survived by her children, Christina Strukel and Matthew (Christine) Strukel; her stepchildren, Steven (Deborah) Curtis and Karen (Eric) Curtis Miller; and her grandchildren, Brooke (Pat Vu) Strukel and Anthony Strukel. She also leaves behind her siblings, Ralph Slabaugh and Jane (Jerry) Kroskie, and sister-in-law, Jackie Slabaugh. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Jeff and Doug Slabaugh and sister -in-law Barb Slabaugh.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Linda’s honor to: New Hope Pet Rescue (https://www.newhopepetrescue.com/) or other animal shelters. Graveside services will be held Friday, May 1, 2026, at 11:00am at Rice Cemetery.
