Leah M. Butler

ELKHART-Leah M. Butler, 47, passed away January 19, 2025.  She was born October 31, 1977, in Elkhart, IN.

  Surviving is her husband, Nicholas Butler, mother, Kelleen Wilburn, father, Rick Coughenour, 4 children, Alexandria Westlake, Logan Berg, Gracey Butler, Rylee Butler, 3 grandchildren, Jayla, Ezra, Tobias, a sister, Misty (Sean) Miller, and a brother, Josh (Ashley) Brown.  Also surviving is a stepfather, Tom Wilburn, 6 nieces and nephews, Tristian, Sean, Layla, Jazzlyn, Kaleb, Jonathan, close friends since childhood, Jamie (Marty) Rice, and Jenni (Josh) Learman.

  She was preceded in death by a stepfather, Kenneth Goodwin, and a brother, Christopher Goodwin.

  Leah was a LPN and gave her heart to her work in the home healthcare field, primarily working with children.   She loved her dogs and family, always making them a priority.  Leah had a green thumb with her indoor plants, was a follower of Christ, and will be remembered for how truly devoted and selfless she was to others.  She will be deeply missed and loved by all who knew her.

  Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the 6 p.m. funeral service Thursday, January 23, 2025 at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  Pastor Leslie Swihart from the Real Church of Elkhart will be officiating the service.
