SOUTH BEND, IN-Kimberly Ann Porter, 54, of South Bend, passed away Sunday June 9, 2024, at her residence in South Bend, of an apparent heart attack.  Kim was born December 14, 1969, in South Bend, Indiana to Herman “Jack” & Judith Ann (Grabner) Stoll.

     On June 10, 1995, in South Bend she married Steven Craig Porter.  He survives along with 2 children, Katie (Zach) Stanage of South Bend, Michael Porter of Oak Park, IL; 1 granddaughter, Clara Marie Stanage; 2 siblings, Kevin Stoll of Jacksonville, FL and Kelly (Andy) Tranberg of South Bend, her stepmother, Sue Stoll of South Bend.   Also surviving are several nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and great nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents and her father-in-law and mother-in-law Charles and Kathleen Porter.

     Kim was employed at Growing Kids Learning Center in South Bend as a childcare provider and was a member of the Kern Road Mennonite Church in South Bend.  She enjoyed spending time with her family, making crock pot meals, being on the water at Hudson Lake, and an avid cat lover.

     Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday June 14, 2024, at the Kern Road Mennonite Church, 18211 Kern Road, South Bend, IN.  Additional visitation will be for 1 hour prior to the 11:00 a.m. service on Saturday June 15, 2024, at the church.  Pastor Sean Swanson will render the service and burial will follow at Southlawn Cemetery in South Bend.

     Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home is entrusted with her care.  Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help with her granddaughter’s college expenses.
