KEVIN A. STRICKLAND, SR.

May 5, 1956 – January 22, 2022

SHIPSHEWANA- Kevin A. Strickland, Sr., 65, of Shipshewana, died Saturday January 22, 2022, at his residence.  He was born May 5, 1956, in Elkhart, Indiana. 

     On August 1, 1996, in Niles, Michigan he married Tracy L. (Hill) Aaron.  She survives along with 6 children, Nick Strickland, Kevin Strickland, Jr. both of Elkhart, Andy Strickland of Cassopolis, Benny Aaron of Elkhart, John Aaron of Mishawaka, Nicole Strickland of Shipshewana and 8 grandchildren.  Also surviving are 2 brothers, Kenny (Patty) Strickland of Edwardsburg, Steve Strickland of Elkhart; 1 sister Lynne (Chuck) Kelley of Elkhart and numerous nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald R. Crocker, and Nola Ann Vantine, 1 sister, Karen Schrock and brother, Mike Strickland.

     Kevin enjoyed woodworking and building things such as corn hole game boards, wishing wells, lighthouses and garden bridges.  He also was a mechanic and loved working on cars.  Kevin worked for American Hauler and Look Trailers as a roofer.

     Services for Kevin will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday January 27, 2022, at Walley-Mills-Zimmerman Funeral Home.  David Hill his brother-in-law will preside and cremation will follow the service.  Friends may visit with the family for 2 hours prior to the service.

     In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to the family.
